First, establish a pairing relationship between your phone and the car's Bluetooth device. Then, search for Bluetooth devices on your phone. Once found, select it to pair and connect. The pairing password is: 0000. After successful pairing, the connection will be established.

Last week I just helped my wife connect her A4L, actually it's quite simple. First, sit in the car and power on without starting the engine, then find the 'Phone' icon on the center console and tap it. The screen will then prompt 'Add new device'—simultaneously turn on your phone's Bluetooth and search for a device name like 'AUDI MMI 3G' in the list, then tap it. At this point, the car system will pop up a pairing code; verify that it matches the one displayed on your phone and confirm. After connecting, don’t forget to check both 'Media Audio' and 'Call Audio' options in your phone’s Bluetooth settings, otherwise you might only be able to make calls but not listen to music. That time, I missed the media audio option and spent a long time figuring out the issue.

When using Audi's infotainment system, I found that the key to Bluetooth connection lies in the operation sequence. After starting the vehicle, directly press the 'TEL' button on the center console, then select 'Find New Device' in the 'Connection Manager'. Make sure Bluetooth visibility is enabled on your phone, and within about ten seconds, your phone model should appear on the car's display. During pairing, the PIN code generated by the system is usually defaulted to 1234 or 0000 – simply confirm it. For new connections, it's recommended to delete old pairing records of other Audi devices from your phone. Previously, my old Q5 kept disconnecting from Bluetooth, and I later discovered it was because my phone had too many historical devices stored. After clearing them, the connection became stable.

Last year, during the test drive of the new Q3, the salesperson taught a quick operation: Press the phone icon button on the right side of the steering wheel to directly access the Bluetooth menu, or swipe down from the smart connectivity system's home page to the control center. The key point is to keep the phone screen awake on the car's pairing interface—the Audi system responds quickly but will disconnect the search if the waiting time exceeds 30 seconds. If it was connected but suddenly has no sound, manually switch to Bluetooth audio in the media source options on the central control screen, as it sometimes automatically reverts to radio mode.
