The method to clear the maintenance reminder on the Mistra is as follows: First, turn the power to ON mode, and the dashboard will display the maintenance required message for a few seconds. Press and hold the OK button for more than one second to reset the maintenance light. The maintenance reminder function is designed to alert the owner about the scheduled maintenance date, helping to prevent potential accidents due to lack of maintenance. The Mistra has dimensions of 4710mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1470mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2770mm. The vehicle is equipped with either a 1.8L naturally aspirated engine or a 2.0L G4NA engine, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission, respectively.

Last time I reset the maintenance reminder for my Mistra, I did it directly on the dashboard without connecting to a computer. Turn the key to ON position without starting the engine, then press and hold the TRIP button on the right side of the steering wheel for about 5 seconds until the wrench icon starts flashing. Release the button and press it once more to reset. Make sure the vehicle is stationary and the electronic parking brake is engaged before operating. This method works well for post-2017 models, while older versions may require repeating the operation a few times. After resetting the maintenance reminder, the next service interval will be recalculated and the trip computer data will refresh, but don't delay maintenance because of this.

The maintenance reminder popping up on the dashboard can be really annoying. From my experience, using the button combo to reset it is the most reliable method. First, turn off the engine but don't remove the key. Hold down the trip meter button with your left hand, then turn the key to the ACC position with your right hand. Wait until the wrench symbol starts flashing, then immediately release the button. At this point, the system enters reset mode – just quickly press the trip button twice more to complete the process. The whole thing takes about ten seconds, much easier than visiting the dealership. However, note that after resetting, the maintenance records on the center display won't update automatically. You'll need to manually sync the data in the settings menu, otherwise the reminder will pop up again next time.

Just studied the maintenance light reset procedure for the Mistra. It mainly involves three steps: Press and hold the TRIP button on the instrument panel with the engine off; turn the key to the ignition-on position; release the button after the indicator light flashes twice. The difference between model years lies in the button location - some are on the right side of the steering wheel controls, while older models have it directly below the instrument panel. After resetting, it's recommended to start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to allow the system self-check to complete, ensuring the ECU properly stores the data. If the operation fails, it might be due to pressing too late or releasing too quickly, causing the reset signal to not be received.
