Haval vehicle maintenance reminders cannot be cleared by the owner and require connection to a computer at a 4S dealership after maintenance is completed. Haval's vehicle lineup includes models such as the H6, M6, and F7. Taking the Haval H6 as an example: it is the flagship model of the Haval brand, positioned as an urban intelligent SUV, with four variants available: Plus, Pro, Max, and Supreme. The Haval H6 is equipped with a 1.5GDIT EVO engine, with the maximum torque output range expanded to 1400-3600 rpm, paired with a second-generation 7DCT transmission. In terms of body dimensions, the Haval H6 measures 4640mm in length, 1825mm in width, and 1690mm in height.

My Haval H6 used to show a maintenance reminder every time it started, but later I figured out a method myself. First, don't press the brake pedal, press the start button twice to power up the dashboard. There are up and down arrow buttons on the right side of the steering wheel—navigate to the trip information interface and find the maintenance mileage option. Then, press and hold the OK button on the right side of the steering wheel for three seconds to clear it. The key is to perform this operation while the dashboard is powered on; starting the engine will cause the reset to fail. After clearing it, it's best to manually record the last maintenance mileage so you can keep track of the next maintenance time yourself, rather than relying entirely on the car's reminder system.

Last time I helped my neighbor clear the maintenance reminder on their Haval, I noticed the methods vary by model year. For example, the 2018 M6 requires using the steering wheel buttons, while the newer Chitu needs access through the vehicle settings on the center screen. A universal method is to turn off the engine and close the doors, wait five minutes for the vehicle to fully power down and restart, then immediately press and hold the odometer reset button on the instrument cluster after turning on the power. If it doesn’t work, remember to check if maintenance was recently done—some 4S shops set reminder intervals too short, which can trigger false alerts.

The maintenance reminder reset is quite simple: Use the combination of the return and confirm buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. After powering on, navigate to the oil life interface on the dashboard, hold the return button for about 10 seconds, and release it when the percentage displays 100%. It's recommended to reset immediately after maintenance; otherwise, the reminder will pop up after a few days, causing more hassle. Resetting it yourself saves time and money compared to visiting the dealership, and it’s also a good opportunity to familiarize yourself with the infotainment system functions.

What Causes the Noise When Auto Hold is Activated?

That is the sound of the parking motor working, not abnormal noise. Here is some relevant information about auto hold: 1. Introduction to Auto Hold: The English name for the auto hold system is AUTO-HOLD. Some car models label the button directly as "AUTO-HOLD" on the vehicle, while others use a pair of semicircles enclosing an "A" inside a circle. Although the styles may vary, the functions implemented by the buttons are the same. 2. Activating Auto Hold: The AUTO-HOLD function is not enabled by default on almost all car models; it requires the driver to manually activate it. After pressing the auto hold function button, every time the vehicle comes to a complete stop by braking, an indicator light will illuminate on the dashboard. At this point, there is no need to press the brake pedal, as the system will automatically complete the braking. When the accelerator pedal is pressed, the system will release, making it very convenient, especially suitable for stop-and-go traffic or when waiting at traffic lights.

It is recommended to clean the windshield regularly. Below is some relevant information about wipers: 1. Precautions: There is no fixed replacement cycle. If there is abnormal noise or the wipers do not clean effectively, repair or replace them promptly. Note that removing and installing wipers requires good manual skills; otherwise, the mechanism can be easily damaged. Therefore, it is more convenient to leave the replacement to professionals. 2. Overview: Wipers, also known as windshield wipers, are devices used to remove rain and dust from the vehicle's windshield, improving the driver's visibility and enhancing driving safety. Due to legal requirements, almost all vehicles are equipped with wipers. Rear windows of hatchbacks and SUVs also have wipers. Besides cars, other means of transportation, such as trains and trams, are also equipped with wipers. Some engineering machinery, like cranes, also have wipers.

Should Cars Undergo Brake Maintenance?

Automobiles should undergo brake maintenance. The braking system is one of the critical components of a vehicle, operating under extremely harsh conditions. Any malfunction in this system can pose immediate dangers. Therefore, to ensure the braking system remains in optimal condition for prolonged periods and guarantees precise and safe braking, it is essential to perform regular brake maintenance and replace the brake fluid. The brake is a mechanical device designed to reduce vehicle speed, also known as a decelerator. Located beneath the steering wheel, the brake pedal, when pressed, activates the brake lever linkage, applying pressure that is transmitted to the brake pads on the brake drum, clamping the brake disc to slow down or stop the vehicle.
