How to Clear Faults on a Sinotruk by Yourself?

Turn the key to the "ON" position (do not start the engine). Then, within 5 seconds, quickly press and release the accelerator pedal 5 times (press fully and release quickly). Next, press the accelerator pedal fully for more than 10 seconds until the fault light flashes, then release it completely. Finally, turn the key back to "OFF" (or remove it), restart the vehicle, and the fault light will disappear.
When I previously drove a Sinotruk and encountered a warning light, I would first locate the OBD port near the steering wheel. You can buy a diesel vehicle diagnostic tool for just a few dozen yuan on Taobao, which connects via Bluetooth to your phone. Remember to shift into neutral, engage the parking brake, open the app, select the Sinotruk model, and perform an automatic scan to view the fault codes. If it's a temporary issue like urea or DPF-related, usually just clicking 'clear' will suffice. After clearing, drive about ten kilometers to check if the light reappears. If a sensor connector is loose, just unplug and reconnect the contact points. This method works fine for minor issues, but if the engine light stays on constantly, don't push your luck—after all, a major repair costs way more than a tow truck fee.
