How to Clean Throttle Carbon Deposits?
1 Answers
Methods for cleaning throttle carbon deposits: 1. Remove the intake hose to expose the throttle; 2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and turn off the ignition switch; 3. Straighten the throttle plate and spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner into the throttle; 4. Use a polyester cloth or non-woven fabric to wipe the throttle. For hard-to-reach areas, use a clip to hold the cloth for cleaning. After cleaning, it is necessary to initialize the throttle. Previously, due to oil sludge blockage, the computer would automatically adjust the throttle opening to ensure normal air intake. After cleaning, without oil sludge blockage, if the throttle maintains the previous opening, it will result in excessive air intake, causing engine shaking during startup and weak acceleration.
