How to Clean the Throttle Body of a 2008 Nissan Tiida?

Mainly, the gasoline is not fully absorbed into the engine, leading to carbon deposits and incomplete combustion, which causes vehicle shaking and increased fuel consumption. If the throttle body is not cleaned for a long time and the spark plugs are not replaced, it can lead to intake manifold failure, affecting fuel atomization and combustion. Regular cleaning of the throttle body can resolve this. If the fuel injectors are not cleaned for a long time, it can cause delayed fuel delivery and affect braking. Regular cleaning is recommended. If the timing gears are not replaced after prolonged use, severe wear can lead to loose meshing, causing noise and jerking sensations.
I often do the throttle body cleaning job. The key for the 2008 Tiida is to operate with power disconnected. First remove the negative battery cable and wait five minutes for the ECU to reset. Then detach the intake pipe, use a 10mm socket to remove the four mounting screws, and the throttle body can be taken off. I spray dedicated cleaner on both sides of the throttle body, especially the carbon buildup around the throttle plate edge, and wipe it clean slowly with non-woven cloth. Important reminder: don't use tools to scrape the metal walls forcefully as it may damage the coating. When reinstalling, tighten the screws diagonally. Finally, reconnect the battery but don't start the engine immediately - turn the key to ON position and wait 30 seconds for ECU self-learning. The RPM may fluctuate during the first two starts after cleaning, but it will stabilize after driving about two kilometers.
