How to choose between Sylphy and Lavida?

Lavida 1.5L+6AT, maximum horsepower 116. Sylphy 1.6L+CVT, maximum horsepower 126, maximum power 93. The rear space of both cars is similar, with about 2 fists of distance for normal height and sitting posture. At an average speed of 30, Lavida's fuel consumption is 6.8L per 100km, while Sylphy's is 6.6L per 100km.
As a long-time owner of a 14th-generation Sylphy, the car's advantages are too obvious to ignore – its reputation as a 'mobile sofa' is well-deserved! The 1.6L naturally aspirated engine paired with a CVT transmission delivers a smooth ride, just like Dove chocolate, and the rear seats offer ample space to stretch out. However, the engine can get a bit noisy during sudden acceleration, and the steering feels too light with little road feedback. Recently, I helped a neighbor pick up a new Lavida, and the German chassis truly feels solid, handling speed bumps with two clean, firm thuds. Although the 1.5L engine's specs are modest, it's actually more fuel-efficient than the Sylphy in city driving. In my opinion, the Sylphy is more comfortable for school runs, while the Lavida feels more secure on highways. I recommend bringing a water bottle to test the cup holders during your test drive – the Lavida's cup holder design is more practical than the Sylphy's.
