Appearance is the biggest difference between these two models. The new H6 mostly adopts smooth and streamlined design language; the Big Dog looks too familiar and not particularly stunning overall. The new H6's interior materials are more upscale, while the Big Dog's cabin atmosphere is more dynamic. In terms of interior storage details, the Big Dog is more thoughtful, but the new H6 clearly performs better in trunk practicality.

I'm quite familiar with both the Haval H6 and Haval Big Dog. From a family car perspective, I'd recommend the H6 more. Its space design is very user-friendly, with a spacious rear seat that easily accommodates child seats, and a large trunk capacity that doesn't feel cramped whether it's for grocery shopping or luggage on road trips. The seats are comfortable, making long drives less tiring, and the suspension tuning is smooth, providing a comfortable ride for elderly passengers. In terms of fuel consumption, the H6 is significantly more fuel-efficient than the Big Dog for city commuting, reducing daily expenses. While the Big Dog has a bold appearance, its rear seat is slightly narrower, making it less practical for family use compared to the H6. Additionally, the H6 boasts high reliability, numerous service points, quick and affordable repairs if issues arise, and more stable resale value. Overall, the H6 is a perfect family SUV with ample safety features.

As an outdoor enthusiast who loves to tinker, the Haval Big Dog is my absolute favorite. Its rugged exterior looks like a real big dog, making it super cool to drive around. The high ground clearance conquers rough roads and muddy terrain effortlessly, making weekend mountain trips and fishing adventures a blast. With strong power and an off-road mode, it's exhilarating to drive outside the city. The H6, on the other hand, is just an ordinary urban car—fine for smooth roads but lacking in adventure. The Big Dog's interior is tough and durable, packed with the latest tech like smart driving assist, which is super practical. While the H6 is fuel-efficient, its power is underwhelming—great for daily use but lacking excitement. For outdoor fun, the Big Dog offers unbeatable value for money. Spending the same amount gets you an adventure buddy that's way more thrilling than the H6. You'll never get bored driving it.

From a daily commuting perspective, the Haval H6 is definitely the right choice. Its body size is moderate, making parking in the city extremely convenient, with a light steering wheel and agile turning. It has low fuel consumption, saving you a significant amount on gas each month. The space is sufficient for daily use, and you won't have to worry about fitting items in the back seat. The Big Dog is larger in size, making parking in narrow alleys troublesome, and its fuel consumption is also higher. The H6 has basic but practical configurations, with functional navigation and air conditioning. The Big Dog has better off-road capabilities, but driving it in the city is a waste of money and affects comfort. Maintenance for the H6 is cheaper with more readily available parts, ensuring quick repairs if issues arise. For worry-free and cost-effective commuting, the H6 wins hands down, as the Big Dog's ruggedness has no room to shine in the city.
