How to Choose Between Cruze and Escort?

Chevrolet Cruze offers better value for money, but it's a relatively new model. Ford Escort has a larger market presence and is more stable. The Chevrolet Cruze stands out more with its sportier overall exterior design and more comprehensive configuration.
I was also torn between these two models back then. The Cruze's 1.5L four-cylinder engine paired with the 6AT transmission delivers remarkably smooth driving, especially with its well-tuned suspension that handles speed bumps comfortably. The current Focus Active mainly features a 1.5L three-cylinder engine, which does offer slightly better fuel efficiency, though some might notice more vibration during startup. In terms of features, the Cruze is more generously equipped with standard LED headlights and a rearview camera. As for resale value, after checking the used car market, the Focus Active holds its value a bit better. If you frequently carry full loads on long trips, the Cruze's lower center floor hump provides more legroom for middle passengers. The most crucial step is test driving both - I drove each for about 20 kilometers under various road conditions and ultimately found the Cruze better suited for my regular child pickup/drop-off routine.
