Log in to the Traffic Management 12123 APP and find the [New Vehicle Plate Selection] option in the [Service Center]. In the basic information section, select and confirm the city for license plate registration, then click [Confirm Information]. Click [I Confirm the Information is Correct], and the system will pop up a verification code input box; send an SMS to obtain the verification code, enter the verification code, and click [Confirm]. There are two methods for new vehicle plate selection: one is random selection, and the other is self-composed selection. There is no specific order for these two methods.
I'm quite familiar with the license plate selection process, and it's actually quite convenient to operate on the 12123 app. The first step is to download the app, complete the registration and login, and bind your personal information and vehicle documents. When entering the new vehicle plate selection section, don't rush into it. I recommend checking the number segment announcement board first to see which new number segments have been recently released. In practice, there are two methods: random selection and self-composition. The random method shows 10 numbers per batch from the system, and you can select 5 times, putting any appealing numbers into the temporary selection area first. For self-composition, you need to prepare 20 sets of desired number combinations in advance. I particularly prefer this prepared approach, always entering my preferred combinations in order of preference. When finalizing the plate number, be quick and decisive—the selection time limit is only 30 minutes, after which the system automatically cancels. Remember to keep the selection receipt, and you must complete the registration procedures at the DMV within three days for it to be valid.
