How to Check the Vehicle Temperature Gauge?
1 Answers
Vehicle temperature gauge can be checked by: The water temperature ranges from C to H, where C represents 60 degrees. Once the needle of the temperature gauge reaches C, it indicates that the water temperature has reached 60 degrees; the red H mark represents 110 degrees. The driver can estimate the temperature indicated by the gauge based on the span from 60 to 110 degrees. The sensor of the temperature gauge is a thermistor-type sensor, fixed with threads on the engine's cooling water passage. The thermistor determines the current flowing through the coil winding of the temperature gauge, thereby driving the needle to swing. In the past, tap water was used as the cooling water for car engines, but now many car engine cooling systems use specialized coolant, hence it is also referred to as the coolant temperature gauge.
