There are two methods to check the validity period of the driving test: 1. Log in to the Internet Traffic Safety Comprehensive Service Management Platform to inquire: Click on the Learning Driving Certificate, and the page will display the validity start date and end date of the student's learning driving certificate; 2. Log in to the Traffic Management 12123 to inquire: Click on the Test Appointment, and when selecting the test site, the remaining period of the driving test will be displayed. Here is some relevant information about the driving test: 1. Learning Driving Certificate: After passing the Subject 1 test, the Vehicle Management Office will issue a Learning Driving Certificate within one day. The Learning Driving Certificate can be in paper or electronic form, both with equal validity. It can be printed or downloaded from the Internet Traffic Safety Comprehensive Service Management Platform. 2. Validity Period of the Test: The general validity period is within three years from the date of registration. According to the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses," the validity period of the driving skill test certificate for first-time applicants or those applying to add permitted driving types is three years. Applicants must complete the Subject 2 and Subject 3 tests within the validity period. If the tests are not completed within the validity period, the passed test subjects will be invalidated.

The most dreaded thing during the driver's license test is missing the validity period. Back when I passed Subject 1, I received the Study Driving Certificate, which serves as your exam pass. It clearly states the expiration date. Typically, it's valid for three years, starting from the day you pass Subject 1. If you didn't receive a paper copy, just open the Traffic Management 12123 APP, log in, and click on the Study Driving Certificate under the driver's license services section—the validity period is prominently displayed in the digital version. Remember to remind yourself to check it regularly. I have a friend who realized it was about to expire and had to practice driving overnight in a panic. You can also check this certificate at the driving school's registration office—coaches have records in their computers. When practicing, it's best to ask the driving school about the expiration month and plan ahead to avoid exceeding the deadline. Otherwise, Subjects 2 and 3, which you've already passed, will be invalidated, and you'll have to retake them.

Checking the validity period of your driver's license exam is actually very convenient. After logging into the Traffic Management 12123 APP, simply go to the driver's license services section and click on the electronic learning driving permit entry, where the expiration year and month are clearly stated. The three-year countdown starts from the day you pass the subject one exam, and all test items must be completed within this period. The front desk computer system at the driving school can check the validity period when you register, and the check-in tablet used during each practice session also displays the countdown. Note that retakes for subject two and three do not count towards the validity period, but the entire cycle is confined to this three-year window. If you're not comfortable checking on your phone, bring your ID card to the vehicle management office's records window, where staff can print out a validity period proof document for you in just two minutes.

When it comes to checking the validity period of the driver's license exam, here's how I did it. Right after passing Subject 1, I received a paper study certificate on the spot, with the expiration date stamped in red at the top right corner. Checking on the phone is more convenient—the electronic version in the Traffic Management 12123 APP shows a time limit reminder at the very bottom. Remember, it's exactly three years from the day you pass Subject 1, during which you must complete all four subjects. There are two key points to note when checking the validity period: first, the interval between retakes for Subject 2 and Subject 3 is not counted in the validity period, and second, the booking system at the driving test center will automatically block candidates who exceed the time limit. It's advisable to confirm the remaining time before each exam booking.
