How to Check the Remaining Fuel Level in a BMW Z4?

On the right side of the fuel gauge, there is a gasoline meter marked with E and F. When the needle is close to E, it indicates that the fuel is running low, and when it is near F, it means the fuel level is sufficient. The LCD screen will display the number of kilometers the car can travel, providing a reference for the owner. Inside the car's fuel tank, there is a float connected to a sliding rheostat. By detecting the current, the degree to which the float has sunk can be determined, allowing the remaining fuel level to be measured. Factors such as driving habits and road conditions can affect the range. Owners need to drive the car for an extended period and become familiar with it to estimate how much fuel is left.
After sitting in the driver's seat of the BMW Z4 and starting the vehicle, the first thing you'll notice is the instrument panel directly in front of the steering wheel. The fuel level information is particularly prominent—the gauge on the right side of the panel with a fuel pump icon and the letters E/F is the fuel gauge. When the needle points to F, it indicates a full tank; as it gradually moves toward E, it shows the fuel level is decreasing. My driving habit is to glance at this gauge every time I start the car. If the needle approaches the red zone, the small screen in the middle of the instrument panel will display a digital prompt like 'Remaining range: XX km,' accompanied by a small yellow fuel warning light. For more precise readings, you can use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to switch the display information and bring up the fuel level percentage, which provides the most accurate reading when used in combination. Don’t wait for the warning light to come on before refueling—the Z4’s fuel tank isn’t large, and you should top up after driving about 400 km in the city.
