How to Check the Oil Level in a Porsche Macan?
1 Answers
Porsche Macan does not have an oil dipstick. The oil level can be viewed on the instrument panel using the vehicle computer selector lever. Navigate to the vehicle section in the instrument display to find the oil level. More details are as follows: 1. Oil level measurement is performed under the following conditions: vehicles that are being driven and have traveled over 50km, as well as vehicles with a warm engine (oil temperature above 65°C), parked on a level surface (engine off for more than 120 seconds) with the ignition switch turned on. 2. After opening the hood, the oil level will be reset. When the engine hood is closed, the oil level can be measured immediately. Prerequisite: oil temperature above 65°C and the engine off for more than 120 seconds. If these prerequisites are not met, the multifunction display will show the message "Oil-level-available-only-after-short-time/distance". 3. If the vehicle is started immediately after opening the engine hood without meeting the conditions, you must drive at least 15km or turn off the engine for 2 minutes with the ignition switch on when the engine reaches operating temperature (oil temperature above 70°C) to check the oil level on the multifunction display. 4. The difference between the minimum and maximum marks is 1.5L. If the oil level indicator malfunctions, the multifunction display will show the message "Failure-Oil-level-measurement". The oil level indicator will no longer display a sector but a continuous bar. If a "min" (minimum oil level) warning is displayed, it also includes an indication of the maximum amount of oil that can be added.
