How to Check the Oil Dipstick on a Volvo?
1 Answers
Volvo's method for checking the oil dipstick: Park the car on a level surface and measure the oil when the engine is static. The oil level should not exceed the upper limit nor fall below the lower limit. First, pull out the oil dipstick. At the end, there is a textured area with upper and lower lines. When the car's oil level is between the upper and lower limits, it indicates the oil quantity is normal and can continue to be used. If the oil level exceeds the upper limit on the dipstick, it may lead to increased carbon deposits. If the oil level reaches the lower limit, it can cause engine misfire, and prolonged use under such conditions may affect the engine's lifespan.
