How to Check the Oil Dipstick on a Volkswagen?
1 Answers
Volkswagen Sagitar oil dipstick checking method: Pull out the dipstick by gripping its top end (hand on top, dipstick hanging down). Typically, there are three marks on the dipstick—upper, middle, and lower—or sometimes just upper and lower marks. The lowest mark indicates the minimum oil level; the top mark indicates the maximum oil level; the middle mark represents the standard oil level. The oil level should not be below the minimum mark nor exceed the maximum mark—it should ideally be at the middle mark. The oil dipstick is a commonly used measuring tool to check the static oil level height, indicating whether the engine oil level is within the reasonable range (between the upper and lower limits). The oil dipstick is usually located next to the engine and has a distinctive feature—a pull ring. You can pull it out by firmly tugging the ring upwards.
