How to Check the Mileage on a BMW X3?

First, you need to press the vehicle's one-touch start button to start the vehicle. Then, activate the trip computer display in the middle of the dashboard. Next, press the MODE button on the right side of the multifunction steering wheel. After that, press the volume adjustment + button twice to adjust the dashboard display content.
Checking the mileage on my BMW X3 is super easy. You don't even need to start the car - just press the start button to power up the instrument cluster. The large digital display behind the steering wheel shows the total mileage as a long string of numbers at the bottom center. If you want to check the mileage for a specific trip, like how far you've driven from home to work, just press the BC button at the tip of the left stalk on the steering wheel. Each press cycles through different displays: first the single trip mileage, then the mileage since last refueling, with additional data available by continuing to press. I use this feature often, especially for calculating fuel consumption on long trips. The newer X3 models can also display all mileage data on the central control screen under 'My Vehicle' > 'Vehicle Status', which provides a more intuitive and comprehensive view.
As someone who frequently drives long distances, I pay special attention to mileage tracking. The BMW X3's odometer is displayed right below the dashboard, with large, easy-to-read numbers. You can check the total mileage at a glance when starting the car in the morning. For segment recording, there's a small button at the very top of the left turn signal stalk on the steering wheel. Pressing it once switches the dashboard display from total mileage to the trip distance since the last start. Press it again to see the distance traveled since the last refuel, which is particularly helpful for calculating fuel consumption. There's also a reminder in the lower right corner of the dashboard showing how many kilometers are left until the next service, which is a thoughtful design.
