How to check the fuel gauge on a Lavida?

In the Volkswagen Lavida, the fuel gauge can be viewed in the center of the instrument panel. The fan-shaped pattern below indicates the fuel level in the tank, ranging from empty (left) to half (middle) to full (right). More information about the car's fuel gauge is as follows: 1. Typically, a car's instrument panel includes a speedometer, tachometer, water temperature gauge, and fuel gauge, with variations depending on the model. 2. On the fuel gauge, 'F' stands for full, derived from the first letter of 'full'; 'E' stands for empty, derived from the first letter of 'empty'. When the gauge points to 'E', it indicates that there is still a small amount of fuel left to drive to a gas station. 3. The principle of the fuel gauge involves a float in the fuel tank connected to a metal rod. This mechanism is similar to the float in a toilet tank. The end of the metal rod connected to the float is linked to a variable resistor via a movable contact point. The position of the float changes with the level of fuel in the tank.
