Car owners are well aware of the importance of engine oil for their vehicles. Therefore, knowing how to check the engine oil is essential. Here are some simple methods you can learn to inspect your car's engine oil while driving. If the oil is no longer usable, it should be replaced promptly. The method for checking engine oil is straightforward. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine for half an hour. Then, pull out the dipstick and wipe off any oil residue with a clean, soft cloth. After cleaning the dipstick, reinsert it fully, then slowly pull it out again. First, check the color of the oil to ensure it is normal. Next, observe the oil level, which should be between the minimum and maximum marks. If the level is below the minimum mark, add more oil immediately. If it exceeds the maximum mark, drain some oil. For vehicles maintained through normal channels, the oil level should not be excessive.
