How to Check if a Car Compressor is Working Properly?

By observing the pressure, turn on the air conditioning, and the low-pressure side gauge should drop. If it does not drop or drops very little, the compressor can be determined to be faulty. Disconnect the compressor's low-pressure pipe, block the rear end of the high-pressure side pipe fitted with a pressure gauge, and then increase the engine speed to about 2000 RPM. At this point, the compressor's high-pressure side pressure should be around 1.5MPa, and there should be no significant change in pressure after the engine is turned off. Otherwise, the compressor can be determined to be faulty.
