How to Check Car Tire Pressure?

There are two methods to check car tire pressure: 1. Use a tire pressure gauge; 2. Check through the tire pressure display interface on the combination instrument panel. When abnormal tire pressure is detected, the tire pressure warning will be triggered. If the vehicle is not originally equipped with this function, it can be installed later for regular tire pressure measurement. If the tire pressure is too high, the contact area between the tire and the ground will decrease, causing the tread wear to concentrate in the center. Additionally, the vehicle may experience bumpy rides, affecting driving comfort. If the tire pressure is too low, the contact area between the tire and the ground will increase, leading to concentrated wear on both sides of the tire. In severe cases, the excessive compression and deformation of the internal tire cord layer may even result in a blowout.
When I first bought my car, I didn't know how to check tire pressure either, but later learned from an auto mechanic. The easiest way is to buy a digital tire pressure gauge—the kind that costs about ten yuan—and simply press it onto the valve stem to get a reading. The most accurate measurements are taken when the tires are cold, either in the morning before driving or after the car has been parked for more than three hours. Different cars have different recommended tire pressures, which are usually listed on a label on the door frame or fuel filler cap. Last month, I noticed the right front tire kept losing air, and it turned out to be a nail puncture. Underinflated tires feel soft to the touch, and their edges wear out much faster than the center.
