How to Check Brake Fluid?
1 Answers
Brake fluid inspection involves checking if the brake pads are worn thin. If the brake pads are excessively thin, the brake fluid level will drop. Brake fluid, also known as braking fluid or hydraulic fluid, is refined from diesel distillates with the addition of thickeners and antioxidants. There are three types of brake fluid: mineral oil-based, alcohol-based, and synthetic. The typical working pressure for braking systems is 2MPa, but it can reach as high as 4 to 5MPa. All liquids possess the characteristic of being incompressible. In a sealed container or a pipeline filled with liquid, when pressure is applied to the liquid, it is quickly and uniformly transmitted throughout the liquid. Hydraulic braking systems operate based on this principle.
