How to Charge a Battery for Longer Lifespan?

Use the original charger and avoid mixing chargers. Just like each phone comes with its own dedicated charger as standard equipment, the same applies to electric bike chargers. Do not wait until the electric vehicle's battery is completely depleted before charging; charge it in a timely manner. You can charge after using up the battery power or immediately after riding. Avoid exposing the battery to high temperatures under direct sunlight. For convenience, many people prefer charging downstairs, which often results in the electric vehicle's charger being exposed to high temperatures for extended periods.
I've always believed that charging frequency is crucial, rather than waiting until the battery is depleted. My habit is to start the engine and charge for 20 minutes if the car hasn't been driven for three consecutive days, which helps avoid deep discharge of the battery. Before parking, I make sure to turn off all electrical appliances, including reading lights and the audio system, to minimize power consumption. In summer, I also avoid parking in direct sunlight because high temperatures can accelerate electrolyte evaporation. Checking the battery terminals for white crystalline deposits is also essential—if found, I clean them with a baking soda solution. My battery is now over four years old and still in excellent condition. Regular maintenance like this can significantly extend its lifespan.
