How to Change the Transmission Oil for Mercedes-Benz GL350
1 Answers
Transmission oil replacement requires lifting the vehicle with a car lift. Remove the drain plug on the side of the oil pan. After draining, use a specialized tool to poke the oil hole, which can release a bit more oil. Take off the oil pan, clean it thoroughly, replace the filter and sealing ring, then reinstall it. When adding new oil, there are two entry points: one is the oil filler port next to the oil dipstick, and the other is directly pumping the transmission oil through the drain hole on the oil pan. Transmission oil is a lubricant that keeps the gear system clean, ensuring smooth operation of the transmission and extending the lifespan of the drivetrain components.
