How to Change Automatic Transmission Fluid?

Lift the vehicle and remove the transmission guard plate to expose the transmission oil pan. There will be a screw on the surface; loosening it will allow the old transmission fluid to drain out. Locate the external circulation machine connector on the vehicle, identify the inlet or outlet pipe, connect the circulation machine's tubing to it, and then pour in the automatic transmission fluid.
Changing automatic transmission fluid is quite a meticulous process. I had this service done at the 4S shop last time. The whole procedure can be divided into three main steps: First, the car is lifted to locate the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission to remove the old fluid, which was as black as soy sauce. Then, the oil pan is removed for thorough cleaning, and the internal filter must be replaced with a new one. Finally, new transmission fluid is added using specialized equipment until the fluid level meets the standard. Remember to perform this operation with the engine warmed up, and note that different vehicle models require different fluid types - always select the correct fluid specification according to the manual. The technician said this method ensures a complete fluid change; although it takes more time, it better protects the transmission. It's recommended to change the fluid every 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers, especially for city driving conditions with frequent traffic jams.
