How to Cancel the Tire Pressure Warning on Volkswagen Lavida?

To cancel the tire pressure warning on the Volkswagen Lavida, follow these steps: First, turn off the engine, then turn on the power to perform a vehicle self-check. Next, press and hold the tire pressure monitoring button located on the right side in front of the gear lever for about three seconds. You will usually hear a beep sound, and after releasing the button, the tire pressure warning light on the dashboard will be canceled. The Lavida is the first A-segment car independently developed by Shanghai Volkswagen. The car measures 4605mm in length, 1765mm in width, and 1460mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2610mm. The front fascia design of the Lavida differs significantly from previous A-segment cars under the Volkswagen brand, featuring distinctive teardrop-shaped headlights.
I previously encountered a tire pressure warning on my Lavida, and it took me a while to figure it out. After starting the car, look for the SET button near the gear lever or on the lower left side of the steering wheel. If you can't find it, check the central control screen—there might be a tire pressure option in the vehicle settings menu. Press and hold the SET button for two or three seconds until the yellow exclamation mark on the dashboard starts flashing. Then release the button, and after a few flashes, the light will turn off, completing the entire reset process. However, note that after patching or replacing a tire, always ensure all four tires have the correct pressure before performing the reset, or the warning will reappear. Turn off and restart the car to check if the warning is gone—if it disappears, the reset was successful. Remember to regularly use a tire pressure gauge to maintain around 2.5 bar.
