How to Cancel the Maintenance Reminder on Lavida?

First, turn off the key (OFF position) until the dashboard lights go out, then press and hold the (maintenance reset button). At the same time, turn on the key (ON position) until the dashboard lights come on, wait for a moment, and the maintenance cycle indicator will display normally. Turn off the key and then turn it on again to clear the maintenance reminder.
I've owned a Volkswagen Lavida for five years and have plenty of experience in canceling the maintenance reminder. First, sit in the car and turn the key to the 'on' position, making sure not to start the engine. Locate the small button with the '0.0' symbol on the dashboard, usually found on the left side of the steering wheel or below the instrument panel. Firmly press and hold the button for about 10 to 15 seconds until you see the maintenance light flashing or a reset prompt appears on the screen. Only then should you release the button, and the reminder will disappear. If it doesn’t work the first time, don’t worry—try again two or three times, ensuring the car is in park and the environment is quiet. Sometimes the button responds slowly due to low battery power, so check the battery health before proceeding. After completion, it’s advisable to schedule the next regular maintenance on time to avoid the annoying reminder popping up again. The whole process takes no more than two minutes and is very convenient. If it still doesn’t work, it’s best to visit a 4S shop for inspection rather than forcing the operation and risking damage to the circuits.
