How to Cancel ECO Mode?

ECO mode is the energy-saving mode. The method to use ECO mode is as follows: 1. The ECO mode setting mainly uses the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel and the information displayed on the instrument panel's LCD screen, usually shown in the instrument display area. 2. Press the "OK" button among the right-side buttons on the steering wheel to enter the menu, then use the left and right arrow keys to select ECO mode. When the ECO icon appears on the display, it indicates that ECO mode is set. 3. Use the up and down buttons on the steering wheel to turn off ECO mode. When the "off" icon appears on the display, it means ECO mode is currently set to off. 4. Finally, press the "OK" button to confirm turning off and exit the menu, confirming the deactivation of ECO mode.
Turning off ECO mode is usually straightforward. When I drive my Toyota, I simply press a dedicated button on the steering wheel right after starting the engine, and the dashboard will display a mode switch confirmation. If you can't locate the button, navigate to the settings option in the central control menu and select to adjust the driving mode to normal or sport mode. After deactivation, the vehicle's power response becomes quicker, especially making highway driving or hill climbing safer, though fuel consumption may slightly increase. I find keeping ECO mode beneficial for city driving, but disabling it before long trips provides peace of mind by avoiding acceleration lag. Always check dashboard prompts to ensure proper deactivation, and note that the vehicle defaults back to ECO mode upon restart, so accidental operation isn't a concern.
