You can apply at the vehicle management office or any traffic branch or team vehicle management station for a temporary license plate. Applicants for a temporary car license plate need to hold a unit introduction letter, vehicle origin certificate, qualification certificate, and other relevant documents (except for the introduction letter which is archived, the rest are returned to the applicant) to apply at the vehicle management office. During the application, the starting and ending locations of the vehicle's travel and the duration of the temporary license plate use should be specified. After the management staff review and inspect the vehicle, a temporary license plate will be issued, with the validity period and travel locations signed. The temporary license plate is valid for one month. After the car passes the review, the reviewing unit will process it, with a validity period of half a month, 15 days. Below are the materials required for applying for a temporary car license plate: 1. Original and copy of the vehicle qualification certificate (import certificate for imported vehicles) 2. Original and copy of the third part of the traffic compulsory insurance 3. Original and copy of the vehicle owner's identity proof 4. If applying on behalf of someone else, provide the original and copy of the agent's ID card

The temporary license plate was arranged by the 4S store sales when I picked up the car. Preparing the documents is quite simple: original ID card, new car purchase invoice, vehicle factory certificate, and the original copy of compulsory traffic insurance policy. Just take these to the vehicle management office or an authorized agency to fill out an application form. Note that the paper temporary license plate must be affixed to the lower left corner of the front windshield and the lower left corner of the rear windshield, otherwise, you will be fined if checked by traffic police. The blue-patterned one is only valid for driving within the city for 15 days; for long-distance travel, you need to apply for a yellow-patterned cross-district temporary license plate, which is valid for 30 days. Last year, a friend forgot to affix the temporary license plate and was fined 200 yuan with 9 points deducted, which was a huge loss. It is recommended to directly let the 4S store handle it for you, saving time and hassle.

There are two types of temporary license plates: local temporary plates (light blue background) and cross-regional temporary plates (brown-yellow background). To apply, the vehicle owner or agent must bring the original ID card, vehicle certificate, purchase invoice, and compulsory insurance policy to the DMV counter. Nowadays, many cities also allow online applications via the 12123 App, where you can upload the required documents and choose between mail delivery or self-pickup. Upon receipt, be sure to verify the plate number, validity period, and vehicle details—correct any errors immediately. Don’t fall for scalpers claiming to sell fake temporary plates valid for six months; the maximum validity is only 30 days, after which you must switch to a permanent license plate.

Just helped my cousin apply for a temporary license plate. There's a process guide at the entrance of the DMV: First, submit the four required documents (ID card, invoice, insurance policy, and vehicle certificate) at the pre-registration counter. The window will print an application form, then proceed to the payment counter to pay the 10-yuan processing fee. Finally, collect the temporary plate at the issuing window—the whole process takes only 20 minutes. Important reminder: Do not apply window tinting before getting the official license plate! Last time, a car owner was asked to remove the tint on the spot when registering. The temporary plate must be carried in the car as the original copy; keeping a photo on your phone is not valid.

Don't underestimate this piece of paper! Last year, a car owner was caught by traffic police using fake temporary license plates and had their vehicle impounded with 15 days detention. With complete materials, you can get it the same day—don't cut corners by using scalpers. Special note: the car purchase invoice must display the real owner's name; company vehicles require the official seal and a copy of the business license. The insurance effective date must match the temporary plate period, otherwise claims may be denied. Out-of-town temporary plates can be renewed up to 3 times—driving beyond the expiry date counts as unlicensed driving.

Does a six-year-old car in 2021 require an on-site inspection?

A six-year-old car requires an on-site inspection. Only after passing the inspection can the annual inspection compliance mark be obtained. Inspection of vehicle components: Check whether the engine, chassis, body, and their auxiliary equipment are clean, complete, and functional, whether the paint surface is uniform and aesthetically pleasing, whether the main assemblies have been replaced, and whether they match the initial inspection records. Inspection of vehicle functions: Verify whether the vehicle's braking performance, steering control, lighting, exhaust, and other safety features comply with the requirements of the "Technical Conditions for Safe Operation of Motor Vehicles." Check for vehicle modifications: Inspect whether the vehicle has been modified, altered, or transformed, whether the driving license, license plate, and all vehicle registration records match the actual condition of the vehicle, whether there have been any changes, and whether the necessary approval and modification procedures have been completed.

What are the consequences of starting a car directly in third gear?

Starting a car in third gear is theoretically possible, but the likelihood of stalling is quite high, making it practically very difficult. Essentially, only drivers unfamiliar with cars would attempt to start in third gear, as starting requires more precise coordination between the clutch, throttle, and brake. Often, the car stalls before the clutch even reaches the semi-engagement point. Additional information: Starting a manual transmission car in third gear causes significant wear on the clutch plates. The semi-engagement phase lasts longer, and the semi-clutch point is harder to find. Starting in third gear can easily lead to lugging, which is highly detrimental and should be avoided. During startup, the engine's RPM drops suddenly, causing the engine to sputter and nearly stall—a severe lugging condition that is very harmful to the engine.

What Causes the Car Fan to Keep Running After the Air Conditioner is Turned Off?

Check if the electric fan is functioning properly. Normally, the electric fan has two speed settings: low speed and high speed. The high-speed setting activates when the air conditioning pressure is too high or when the engine coolant temperature reaches 103 degrees Celsius. Inside the car, there is also a button labeled 'C', which is the recirculation button. This button can block the airflow between the inside and outside of the car. Especially in summer, turning on the recirculation mode can significantly enhance the cooling effect. Additional Information: This feature is typically used right after turning on the air conditioning to help the car interior reach the desired temperature quickly. However, prolonged use of recirculation without air exchange may lead to dizziness, chest tightness, or other symptoms of oxygen deficiency among passengers. Therefore, it is advisable to turn off the recirculation function after some time to allow fresh air to circulate before turning it back on.

Is it okay if water reaches half of the car tire?

If water reaches half of the car tire and the vehicle is stationary and not in motion, there is no issue with the vehicle itself. However, it is important to observe whether the water level is rising. If you must leave the waterlogged area, always check before opening the car door to ensure the water has not reached the height of the car's threshold, thereby preventing water from entering the interior. Below is additional information regarding water reaching the tires: 1. Do not continue driving: If water reaches half of the car tire, it is generally advised not to continue driving. If driving is necessary, always choose a route with shallow water. During the drive, carefully assess the water's depth, flow rate, and the nature of the waterbed, as well as the width of the entry and exit points and road conditions, to determine if it is safe to proceed. 2. When confirming whether your vehicle's structure can pass through: Generally, choose the shortest distance, shallowest water level, slowest flow, and firmest waterbed. Avoid revving the engine or accelerating abruptly to prevent water from splashing into the engine and causing it to stall; maintain steady acceleration while crossing the water, avoid stopping midway, and try to avoid shifting gears or making sharp turns. If the engine stalls, remember not to restart the vehicle.

What is the rearcooler switch in a car?

The rearcooler in a car is the rear window defogger switch. When this switch is pressed, the rear window defogger, the exterior rearview mirror defoggers, and the front wiper de-icing device will all activate simultaneously. The defoggers and de-icing device will automatically turn off after approximately 15 minutes. Below is more information about car defoggers: 1. Introduction: The car defogger is located on the center console. The car defogger switch controls the defogger, which is used to reduce moisture, fog, and frost on the front and rear windshields and exterior rearview mirrors to improve visibility. 2. The physical principle of cold air defogging in cars: After the liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the cooled object in the evaporator, it vaporizes into low-temperature, low-pressure steam, which is then drawn into the compressor, compressed into high-temperature, high-pressure steam, and discharged into the condenser. 3. The physical principle of hot air defogging in cars: When gas containing mist flows through the defogger at a certain speed, due to the inertia of the gas, the droplets that aggregate from collisions with the wave plates are very large. The gravity caused by the droplets exceeds the combined force of the gas lift and the surface tension of the liquid, causing the droplets to separate from the surface of the wave plates.
