How to Apply Car Window Tint?

Thoroughly clean each piece of glass, spray a small amount of window film installation solution on the outer surface of the glass, place the window film over it, and trim the film along the edges. Precisely shape and shrink the window film. After heat shaping is completed, clean the inner surface of the glass with a strong liquid cleaner and scrub off any oil residue with a nylon soft scrub pad. Peel off the protective film, spray installation solution on both the adhesive side of the window film and the inner surface of the glass, then lay the film onto the glass. After sliding into position, spray installation solution again and use a specialized squeegee tool to remove the excess solution.
I've always enjoyed applying car window tinting myself, finding it quite rewarding. First, I thoroughly wash the car, especially the windows, using a specialized cleaning solution to remove all grease and dust – otherwise the film won't adhere properly. Then I measure and cut the tint film, leaving some extra margin for adjustments. I prepare a spray bottle with soapy water to mist both the glass and film, which makes positioning easier during application. Next comes the careful process of applying the film, using a soft squeegee to smooth it out and remove air bubbles. Pay special attention to the edges – I use a heat gun to gently shape them, being careful not to overheat and damage the film. The whole process takes about two hours, and I usually listen to music while working, just needing some patience. Remember not to roll down windows for a few days after application to let the film set properly. I believe choosing high-quality heat-resistant film is most important – it blocks UV rays and helps save on air conditioning costs.
