How to alternate when already on high beam?

First, turn the light lever to low beam. At this point, continue to pull twice (pull and release once), meaning pull backward three times in total. First switch to high beam, then return to low beam. The headlights are in low beam mode. Pull the light lever backward and release your hand, the high beam and low beam will alternate flashing.
As a novice driver who had just learned to drive not long ago, I was also particularly confused about how to flash the headlights alternately when the high beams were on. Later, an experienced driver taught me that there is usually a light control lever on the right side of the steering wheel. If the high beams are already on, gently push it downward or pull it toward yourself (the specific direction depends on the car model, you can try it a few times in an open area), and you can instantly switch to the low beams for a flash, or push it several times in a row to achieve the alternating effect of high and low beams. It's like giving a polite gesture to remind oncoming cars to slow down or yield. I also found it particularly useful on highways at night, as it can avoid accidents caused by glare. However, the key is to practice until it becomes natural, so as not to panic and affect driving—safety comes first. After remembering this trick, I became more confident while driving. Everyone should also pay attention to regular light maintenance.
