How to align the timing chain on the Jianghuai Refine M3?

Check through the spark plug hole and manually rotate the crankshaft pulley fixing bolt with a wrench or socket. Insert the No. 1 special tool tightly into the timing groove of the intake and exhaust camshafts from the rear plane area of the cylinder head.
I've repaired engines a few times before, and timing chain alignment is crucial to prevent engine gear damage and failure. To locate the timing marks on the Jianghuai Refine M3, there are usually marked points on the engine. The first step is to turn off the engine and remove the timing cover. Then, manually rotate the crankshaft to the specified position, aligning the crankshaft mark with the points on the camshaft pulley. The raised links on the chain must match. If the chain is loose, tighten the tensioner—don't use excessive force. Also, check if the chain is worn or deformed; replace it if it's too old. After alignment, rotate the engine several times to ensure smooth operation without noise. Finally, reinstall the cover and start the engine for testing. Prepare tools like wrenches and special wrenches, and refer to the manual for accuracy. If you can't manage it, don't force it—just head to the repair shop for peace of mind.
