How to adjust the trip meter on Suzuki UY125?

Turn the key to the ACC position or remove it to turn off the instrument panel. Rotate the light switch to turn on the parking lights. Press and hold the instrument button for a while until the hour display starts flashing on the panel. Release the button and press it again - each press increases the hour by one. After setting the hour, each button press will increase the minutes by one. Holding the button will continuously increase the minutes. After adjustment, the minute display will blink five times to confirm completion without further operation needed.
I've been riding my Suzuki UY125 for several years, and resetting the trip meter is a regular task for me. The method is quite simple. First, locate the small button on the instrument panel, usually labeled 'Trip' or marked with a reset symbol. Start the motorcycle but don't ride off immediately. Press and hold that button for 3-5 seconds, and the displayed trip mileage will automatically reset to zero. I reset it after every refueling to easily track how far I've traveled on a full tank. This helps me monitor fuel consumption without needing to jot it down on paper. Remember not to operate it while riding, as distraction can lead to accidents. It's best to do this when safely parked. If the button doesn't respond, it might be clogged with dust—try cleaning it. Alternatively, check if the battery is low, as this could affect the instrument's functionality. Developing this habit makes vehicle maintenance more convenient.
