The button on the left side of the Lexus dashboard adjusts the hour, while the button on the right adjusts the minute. First, press the left button. When the time on the trip computer starts flashing, you can begin adjusting. Then press the SET button on the right. Each press of SET adjusts the time by one increment. Holding down the SET button will cause the time digits to change rapidly, allowing for quick adjustment of the minutes. Use both buttons in combination to adjust until the correct time is set.

When I first got my Lexus, I was also confused about how to adjust the time. It's actually quite simple—just use the large screen on the center console. First, start the engine, but don't rush to drive; safety comes first. Press the main menu button at the bottom of the display, swipe to find the 'Settings' icon, and tap it. Inside, you'll see the 'Clock Settings' option. Once there, it will display the current time. You can tap the hour part and slide up or down to adjust, and the same goes for the minutes. For some older models, you may need to use the buttons on the right side of the steering wheel—press the menu button to find settings, then use the directional keys to move the cursor. Don't forget to confirm and save after adjusting, or the time won't change. Also, avoid adjusting while driving, as it can be distracting and lead to accidents, especially on highways. If your car has GPS or is connected to Bluetooth, the time might auto-sync, but manual adjustment is still the most common method. Remember to check periodically to avoid inaccurate time affecting your schedule.

Setting the time on a Lexus is something I can handle easily after years of driving experience. Once the car is started, check the central touchscreen or digital instrument cluster for the settings menu. Navigate to the system or vehicle configuration section, where you'll find a time and date option. Adjust the hours and minutes using touch controls or a rotary knob, depending on your model: newer models typically use touchscreen inputs, while older ones might require steering wheel buttons. For example, when I recently drove a friend's RX model, there was a SETUP button on the right side of the steering wheel—just open the menu and select the clock. Adjusting the time takes mere seconds, but remember to do it while parked for safety. If the time keeps changing unexpectedly, it could indicate a battery issue or GPS signal interference—try restarting the system. It's convenient to set the time when the car isn't in use to avoid forgetting. The owner's manual contains detailed instructions; it's best to consult it to prevent accidentally altering other settings.

As a detail-oriented car owner, adjusting the time on a Lexus is quite intuitive. After starting the car, open the multimedia screen and navigate to the settings menu to find the time options. There are generally automatic and manual modes: automatic relies on GPS calibration, but if the signal is poor or there's no internet connection, you'll need to adjust it manually. The manual steps involve selecting the clock settings and adjusting the numbers. Some models operate through the instrument cluster menu, using steering wheel buttons to toggle selections. Avoid doing this while driving; it's safer to stop. Common reasons for inaccurate time include daylight saving time changes or car system reboots, so regular checks can prevent issues. The whole process takes just a minute or two, and even beginners can easily master it—the key is to develop the habit.

Is the electronic version of the driver's license valid nationwide?

Electronic driving permits are not valid nationwide. Pilot program for electronic driver's licenses: Electronic driver's licenses, commonly known as e-licenses, were piloted in three cities—Tianjin, Chengdu, and Suzhou—starting from June 1, 2021, to provide drivers with online license and code display services, facilitating public travel and administrative procedures. The program is set to be fully implemented nationwide in 2022. Advantages of electronic driver's licenses: Electronic driver's licenses feature three key characteristics: uniformity, real-time capability, and security, offering convenience in application, presentation, and use. Generated through the national public security traffic management electronic license system, they dynamically display the status of the driver's license and can be used in various scenarios such as law enforcement and public services, enabling real-time queries, displays, and verification. Electronic driver's licenses employ digital signature anti-counterfeiting technology, ensuring authenticity, uniqueness, security, and reliability.

Will Car Tires Lose Air by Themselves in Cold Weather?

The phenomenon of car tires losing air by themselves in cold weather is relatively rare. More often, air loss is caused by tire damage. Reasons for tire air loss: Air loss may occur due to increased friction between the tire and the ground, or foreign objects puncturing the tire, such as nails, screws, sharp stones, etc. Among these, nails and screws are most likely to pierce the tire, causing the gas inside to leak. If not addressed promptly, it can further damage the punctured area. Normal tire pressure range: The front tire pressure when the car is cold should be between 2.2-2.3, while the rear tire should be between 2.4-2.5, which is within the normal range. However, some vehicles may have front tires at 2.4-2.5 and rear tires at 2.2-2.3. The specific values should be based on the tire pressure indicated by the vehicle. According to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, the tire pressure in summer can be adjusted 0.1-0.2 lower than the normal value, while in winter, it can be adjusted 0.1-0.2 higher than the normal value.

What does it mean when the EA888 engine reports a lean condition in cylinder 1 system?

EA888 engine reporting a lean condition in cylinder 1 system is due to issues with the mass air flow sensor. The air passing through the mass air flow sensor does not fully enter the cylinder, escaping outside the closed system, or the control unit may be damaged. Symptoms of insufficient cylinder pressure: Lack of power; excessive smoke from the exhaust pipe; the engine may also experience difficulty starting. Insufficient cylinder pressure is usually caused by air leakage in some part of the engine, or excessive clearance between the piston and cylinder wall. Dangers of insufficient cylinder pressure: If the engine burns oil for a long time, it can damage the vehicle's catalytic converter and accelerate engine wear. If cylinder pressure is insufficient, severe carbon deposits can form inside the engine, which are quite harmful to the engine.

Can an 80Ah Car Battery Be Replaced with a 70Ah One?

Whether a 70Ah battery can be used as a replacement depends on two key parameters: the battery's rated voltage must match the original battery, which is 12V; and the cold cranking amperage (CCA) must not be lower than the original battery, i.e., not less than 660A. Car battery capacities: Passenger car battery capacities range from 32Ah to 80Ah: minivans typically use 32Ah, 36Ah, 40Ah, 45Ah, or 48Ah; sedans use 40Ah, 45Ah, 54Ah, or 60Ah; and pickup trucks use 60Ah or 80Ah. Precautions for car battery usage: Avoid leaving the car parked outdoors for extended periods. If long-term parking is necessary, remove the battery to prevent freezing damage. In winter, car engines are harder to start—each attempt should not exceed 5 seconds, with at least 15 seconds between attempts. If the car fails to start after multiple attempts, check other systems such as the electrical circuit, ignition coil, or fuel system. Avoid continuous starting attempts, as this can over-discharge and damage the battery.

Can Car Window Glass Block Ultraviolet Rays?

Car window glass cannot completely block ultraviolet rays. Overview of car windows: Car windows (car-window) are an important part of the vehicle body, designed to meet the needs of interior lighting, ventilation, and driver visibility. Depending on the installation position of the glass, car windows are categorized into front and rear windshields, side windows, and door windows. Structure of car windows: The structure of car windows is typically curved and enclosed. Between the window frame of the vehicle body and the window glass, rubber sealing strips are used for connection. These sealing strips serve to seal and cushion, preventing damage to the windshield glass when the window frame deforms due to stress on the vehicle body.
