How to Adjust the Tightness of a Motorcycle Clutch Cable?
1 Answers
When the handlebar is in free travel, check the radial movement of the clutch lever. Loosen the lock nut on the adjusting screw tube, then turn the adjusting screw tube until the free travel of the clutch lever is between 10 to 20 millimeters. During adjustment, ensure that the threaded part of the adjusting screw tube does not extend beyond eight millimeters, and the opening of the adjusting screw should face downward. This prevents water from entering the cable and causing the wire rope inside the sheath to rust. The final step is to tighten the lock nut.
