Each engine design will have different spark plug gap requirements. A larger spark plug gap means a longer arc distance, resulting in a larger ignition point area in contact with the air-fuel mixture, making ignition easier and combustion more complete. If the spark plug gap is too small, the arc will be too short, making it difficult to ignite the mixture or resulting in poor combustion, leading to issues such as difficulty starting, unstable idle, insufficient power, and poor acceleration.
