How to adjust the rearview mirror on the Tiguan L?

Correct adjustment angles for rearview mirrors: 1. Center rearview mirror: When the mirror is parallel to the horizon and the horizon is positioned at the center of the mirror (1/2 of the mirror surface), the field of view is optimal. 2. Left rearview mirror: Since the driver's seat is on the left, adjusting the left rearview mirror is particularly important. It is recommended to adjust the car's image to occupy 1/4 of the mirror surface and the horizon to occupy 1/2 of the mirror surface. Note that the car's image should not be too small, as this makes it difficult to observe the actual situation of the vehicle closely following behind; nor should it be too large, as this would obscure the view of vehicles in other lanes. 3. Right rearview mirror: Due to the driver's seat being on the left, the right rearview mirror has a larger blind spot, and the adjustment method differs from the left. The car's image should still occupy 1/4 of the mirror surface, but the horizon should be adjusted to 2/3 of the right rearview mirror.
When I first started driving the Tiguan L, I also had to figure out how to adjust the rearview mirrors. After sitting in the driver's seat, I first found the control panel on the inner side of the door, which has a small panel marked with L and R selection buttons. For example, if I wanted to adjust the left rearview mirror, I would press the L button and then use the adjacent up, down, left, and right buttons to fine-tune the angle. While adjusting, I kept my eyes on the mirror to ensure I could see the road behind the car, but not too high to miss the blind spot. I prefer doing this while the car is parked because it's harder to adjust when the car is moving. Once adjusted, I tried moving my body slightly to check if the view remained stable. If family members took turns driving, I reminded them to reset the position. The electric adjustment feature of the Tiguan L is very convenient, taking just a few seconds to complete. This simple step helps avoid scratches while reversing—safety first. Now, I've developed the habit of adjusting the mirrors every time I change seats.
