How to Adjust the Rearview Mirror of the Teana?

Teana has an adjustment button on the door panel. The toggle adjustment lever is located at the upper right of the door, and you can adjust the rearview mirror by toggling this lever. Rearview mirrors can be classified into two types based on their adjustment methods: external adjustment and internal adjustment. 1. External adjustment involves manually adjusting the position of the mirror frame or mirror surface while the vehicle is parked to achieve the desired viewing angle. This method is time-consuming and labor-intensive, making it difficult to complete conveniently in one go. The driver needs to reach out of the window to adjust the mirror while seated, which is inconvenient during driving or rainy conditions. Generally, large vehicles, trucks, and low-end buses adopt this external adjustment method to reduce costs. 2. Internal adjustment allows the driver to adjust the rearview mirror while driving, providing more convenient conditions for observing the rear view. Most mid-range and high-end cars use internal adjustment. This method is further divided into manual adjustment (using a wire cable transmission or a handle) and electric adjustment.
When I first drove the Teana, it took me some time to figure out how to adjust the rearview mirrors, but now it's smooth sailing. First, sit in the driver's seat and adjust your seating position comfortably; otherwise, an incorrect position will skew your field of vision. The interior rearview mirror is located above the center of the windshield. Grab the small bracket with your hand and twist it easily to align it with the center of the rear window, ensuring a clear view of vehicles directly behind you. The exterior rearview mirrors are even more crucial: there’s a control area near the left door handle. If it’s electric, press the button to select the left mirror and use the small arrows to adjust the angle up, down, left, or right, ensuring the car body just disappears from view, leaving only the road visible—this significantly reduces blind spots. The right exterior mirror is adjusted similarly, and you can operate it via the door panel buttons. A quick reminder: in bad weather, like rain, remember to use the wipers to clean the mirrors. After adjusting while parked, move your head to test if the field of vision covers everything, and make it a habit to check before driving for added safety. This way, if a car suddenly changes lanes next to you while driving, it’s easier to notice and avoid minor accidents.
