How to Adjust the Height of an Electronic Throttle Pedal in a Car?

There is a push rod between the vacuum booster drum and the brake master cylinder. The push rod has a screw head that can be adjusted to lengthen the push rod slightly. If the brake pedal feels too soft, it indicates there is air inside, and bleeding is required.
I also wanted to adjust the throttle pedal height last time, as my foot always felt uncomfortably suspended during long drives. Actually, the electronic throttle on most cars is fixed and non-adjustable, since it's connected to sensors and wiring. However, some models like the Ford Explorer or certain Cadillac variants have throttle brackets with height adjustment slots. You need to remove the driver's side interior panel, loosen the screws with a hex key, and then reposition the pedal assembly before securing it again. But this job is quite delicate—the sensor wiring harness must not be stretched to its limit, otherwise it may trigger fault codes. After installation, you’ll need a diagnostic tool to calibrate the pedal position signal. If you lack experience, it's best to visit a professional tuning shop, which typically costs around 300 yuan for the service.
