How to adjust the headlights of Wuling Hongguang?

There is a headlight height adjustment knob below the left side of the steering wheel, which can be used to adjust the headlights. Here are some tips on headlight usage: 1. Avoid using high beams when driving in the city: Urban areas generally have good lighting conditions. The high angle of high beams can easily dazzle oncoming drivers and pedestrians, affecting their vision, which is unsafe and considered impolite driving behavior. 2. Alternate high beams at night: This can be used instead of the horn to alert pedestrians and vehicles around you, avoiding excessive noise. 3. Use low beams when driving at low speeds at night: This can help reduce fuel consumption.
Adjusting the lights of the Wuling Hongguang is something I've done several times myself. After starting the car, park it on level ground or in a garage for easy observation of the light angle. Open the engine hood, and you'll find adjustment screws near the headlights—some are located below or on the side of the light cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver to slowly turn them to adjust the height. When there's a significant change in load, the lights tend to point too low, so I check them every three months. Pay attention to safety during adjustment—don’t do it in the dark. First, shine the lights against a wall to see if the horizontal line is appropriate. If the lights are too high, they’ll shine into oncoming drivers' eyes; if too low, the road won’t be visible clearly. This is all for safer nighttime driving. The Wuling’s headlight design is simple, usually taking just ten minutes to adjust. If the screws are rusty and hard to turn, add some lubricant to make it smoother. DIY adjustments save money and hassle, but for first-timers, it’s safer to check the manual or ask a friend for help.
