How to Adjust the Headlights of Buick Excelle?

Buick Excelle headlight adjustment method: Open the engine hood, there are two hexagon socket screws behind each headlight. The two screws facing upwards are for adjusting the height, and the two screws facing inward are for adjusting the left and right angles. The Buick Excelle is the fourth model produced by Buick based on General Motors' global platform, following the new Regal, the new LaCrosse, and the Enclave. The Buick Excelle originates from the Opel Astra. The Buick Excelle is equipped with a third-generation small-displacement inline 4-cylinder DVVT engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic manual transmission, and offers three displacement options: 1.6L, 1.8L, and 1.6T. The 1.6T model uses the same engine as the Buick Regal 1.6T model, with a maximum power output of 132 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 230 Newton-meters.
I've been driving my Excelle for three years and have adjusted the headlights several times. The first step is to find a flat wall, with the front of the car about five meters away from the wall, and mark the center position of the headlights on the wall. Open the engine hood, and you'll find white hexagon adjustment holes on the rear shell of the headlights: the outer hole adjusts the vertical height, while the inner hole adjusts the horizontal left-right alignment. Use a 4mm hex wrench to turn slowly, and after half a turn, get out of the car to check the effect. The left headlight should be slightly lower to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers. After adjustment, test drive at night—the cutoff line of the low beam should not exceed the height of the rearview mirror of the car in front to be considered qualified. Don't force the operation on rainy and slippery roads—safety first.
