How to adjust the dashboard brightness of Volvo XC90?

Adjusting the dashboard brightness on my XC90 is quite straightforward, mainly operated via the steering wheel buttons. First, start the car but don’t rush to drive off. Use the scroll wheel or directional buttons on the left side of the steering wheel to enter the menu system. Scroll to ‘Display Settings’ and locate the brightness adjustment option, which usually has a slider or +/- buttons. Press lightly a few times to increase or decrease the brightness level, adjustable from 1 to 10. I recommend trying the adjustment when it’s getting dark outside, aiming for a medium brightness that’s neither glaring nor too dim, avoiding situations where it’s hard to see in bright sunlight. Remember to keep the car stationary while making adjustments—safety first. Occasionally, I also check the ambient lighting brightness settings, as they sometimes sync and affect overall driving comfort. The manual doesn’t make it sound complicated, and you’ll get used to it after a few tries.
