How to Adjust the Center Rearview Mirror?

The method to adjust the center rearview mirror is: 1. Align the left edge of the mirror precisely to the right ear of the image in the mirror; 2. For adjusting the vertical position, place the distant horizon at the center of the mirror. The rearview mirrors are located on the left and right sides of the car's front and inside the car, allowing the driver to indirectly see the position clearly and expand the driver's field of vision. The methods to adjust other rearview mirrors are: 1. Adjust the left rearview mirror: For the top and bottom positions, place the distant horizon at the center; for the left and right positions, adjust until the car body occupies one-fourth of the mirror's area; 2. Adjust the right rearview mirror: Place the horizon at two-thirds of the rearview mirror's height, then adjust the car's edge to occupy one-fourth of the mirror's image.
Adjusting the car's center rearview mirror is a habitual part of my pre-driving routine. Before sitting in the driver's seat, I usually adjust the seat and steering wheel first to ensure comfort, with my back straight and head lightly touching the headrest so that the back of my head doesn’t obstruct the view. Then, I gently push the mirror base or edge with my hand, slowly adjusting the angle until the entire rear window is fully reflected in the mirror, with clear and undistorted edges. If I see the car roof or my own shoulders, it means the mirror is too low and needs to be tilted upward slightly. When driving at night, I switch to the anti-glare mode by flipping the small lever underneath to reduce the blinding reflection of headlights from behind. Safety comes first—I check the mirror's position every two weeks to ensure it hasn’t loosened, as a clear view helps avoid blind-spot accidents, like failing to notice a vehicle when changing lanes. If the back seat is cluttered with luggage, I clear it out to prevent obstructed views, which could otherwise lead to minor accidents.
