How to Adjust the Carburetor Mixture Ratio of a Motorcycle to Optimal?
1 Answers
Ensure the motorcycle is started. Adjust the idle screw as high as possible, then adjust the mixture screw towards the lean direction or the direction that can reduce the idle speed. Once the idle speed stabilizes, adjust the idle screw. Stop adjusting if the idle speed cannot increase further. If the idle speed rises, then reduce the mixture screw until it stabilizes. This should basically complete the adjustment.
