How to Adjust the Brake Tightness of a Wuzheng Vehicle?

First, prepare a medium-sized wrench. Locate the brake adjustment screw at the front wheel axle, which is generally positioned at the upper right side of the front wheel axle. When adjusting the brake, the front screw controls the rotation direction of the brake arm. Then, use the wrench to adjust the brake screw. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise to the right will tighten the brake, while turning it counterclockwise to the right will loosen the brake. Before checking the brake, carefully clean any dirt on the master cylinder to prevent any debris from falling into the reservoir.
I just adjusted the brakes on my Wuzheng tricycle, and it's quite simple: Park the vehicle and engage the handbrake to ensure stability. Locate the brake adjustment nut on the inner side of the rear wheel, usually near the brake drum. Use a wrench to loosen the lock nut, then turn the adjustment nut clockwise to tighten the brake cable or counterclockwise to loosen it—test after each small adjustment to avoid over-tightening. After adjustment, press the brake pedal; a travel distance of 20-30mm is ideal. Too loose and the brakes won't work; too tight and they'll wear out quickly and waste fuel. Adjust both wheels evenly to prevent dangerous pulling during turns. Take a short test drive to confirm the brakes are responsive. Remember to regularly check the brake pad thickness and replace them if worn past halfway to prevent sudden failures. This ensures safe driving and extends component lifespan. Doing it yourself takes just a few minutes, saving money and hassle.
