How to Adjust the Air Pressure Valve on a Truck?
1 Answers
Truck system air pressure is regulated by the dryer pressure regulating valve. To adjust the truck's air pressure, simply adjust the dryer's pressure regulating valve. The specific steps are as follows: 1. Locate the distribution valve next to the air reservoir. There will be a screw either on top or below the distribution valve. 2. Use a screwdriver and wrench simultaneously for adjustment. Loosen the screw with the wrench, turn the screwdriver counterclockwise half a turn, then tighten the screw. 3. Exercise caution when adjusting truck air pressure. Incorrect adjustment may cause excessive pressure leading to air reservoir rupture. If ignition reveals excessive pressure, immediately shut off the engine and pump the brakes several times to prevent pressure exceeding 8 bars.
