How to Adjust Self-Adjusting Brakes?

On the inner side of the pump, you can see a capped bleed screw. Turning it counterclockwise will cause oil to leak out. After letting it leak for a few seconds, tighten it again. Then, repeatedly press the brake pedal several times in the driver's compartment and hold it down. At this point, loosen the bleed screw again to let oil leak for a few seconds before tightening it. Repeat this process until the brake adjustment is complete. To adjust the drum brake on this wheel, there is a square hole used for brake adjustment. Use two screwdrivers: one to move the spring and the other to move the gear. However, this method of adjusting the brakes must be done with the brake drum cover in place.
