How to Adjust Direction When Reversing? Which Side is Wider, Turn to Which Side?

In the left mirror, if the rear left field of view is relatively large, then turn the steering wheel to the left for one full turn, then to the right for one full turn, and immediately observe which side is larger or smaller in the right mirror. During normal reverse parking, in the left and right rearview mirrors, one side appears as a triangle and the other as a rectangle, due to the seating position and the adjustment angle of the mirrors.
When reversing to adjust direction, I mainly rely on observing the rearview mirrors to determine the position of the rear end. The simple and effective rule is: steer towards the side that has more space. For example, if I see the left side of the rear end sticking out too much in the rearview mirror, I turn the steering wheel to the left to make the rear end move left and fill the gap; if the right side is wider, I turn right. In actual operation, I slowly turn the steering wheel at a small angle, combined with the clutch or brake to decelerate, keeping it steady and not rushing. When practicing, simulate parking in an empty parking lot a few times, starting with straight-line reversing and then moving on to turning exercises. Pay attention to both the position of the front and rear ends to avoid focusing on one end while neglecting the other. Safety first—always walk around the car to check for pedestrians or obstacles before reversing, and make it a good habit.
