How to Add Refrigerant Oil to a Car?

Open the car hood and locate the high and low-pressure pipes of the air conditioning system. The larger one is the low-pressure pipe, and the smaller one is the high-pressure pipe. Check if the filling valve is qualified, and avoid using substandard filling valves. Connect the high and low-pressure pipes of the air conditioning system to the red and blue hoses on the air conditioning pressure gauge device, and connect the yellow hose to the vacuum oil extractor. Turn off the vacuum machine and remove the high-pressure pipe. Before use, shake the bottle up and down to ensure the contents are evenly mixed, and add an appropriate amount through the compressor channel when needed.
Last time my air conditioning wasn't cooling, I went to a repair shop to deal with the refrigerant oil. The technician taught me some methods. Usually, you don't just add it directly; first, check if there are any leaks or pressure issues in the system. If the oil is insufficient, the professional procedure is to use a recovery machine to extract the old refrigerant to avoid environmental pollution. Then, use specialized tools to inject the refrigerant oil from the compressor interface or low-pressure pipe. The amount must be precise, as too much or too little can damage the compressor. After adding, you also need to recharge the refrigerant and test the pressure to ensure there are no leaks. The entire process requires certified equipment; ordinary people should never attempt it. R134a refrigerant is flammable and toxic, and messing up can also be illegal. I recommend finding a certified repair shop; it costs between 200 to 500 RMB to get it done, saving time and hassle.
