To activate the windshield washer on the Boyue: First, locate the wiper control lever (mounted on the right side of the steering wheel as part of the wiper combination switch). Lift the lever upward to engage the front windshield washer spray while the wipers sweep. Release the lever to stop the washer spray, after which the wipers will make a few additional sweeps before returning to their resting position. The Boyue offers diverse powertrain options, including a 1.8TD engine, 2.0L naturally aspirated engine paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an Australian DSI 6-speed automatic transmission, forming multiple powertrain combinations. The 1.8TD engine delivers maximum power of 135 kW and peak torque of 300 N·m. The Geely Boyue measures 4519mm in length, 1831mm in width, 1694mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2670mm.

The wiper washer operation on the Boyue is actually very simple. I've been driving this car for three years and use this feature every time it rains. You see that control stalk on the right side of the steering wheel? Just gently pull it toward yourself, just like activating the turn signal, and the washer fluid will spray onto the windshield. Be careful not to pull too hard - release it when you hear the spraying sound. I prefer to spray first before turning on the wipers to avoid dry wiping that could damage the rubber blades. If nothing comes out when you try to spray, first check if the washer fluid reservoir under the hood is full, then inspect if the nozzles are clogged with bird droppings. In winter, you must use antifreeze washer fluid, or you'll risk frozen tubing. This feature is truly lifesaving when driving in rain with poor visibility.

Operating the Boyue's windshield washer is super easy—just pull the lever on the right side of the steering wheel toward you. When I first started driving this car, I couldn't find the button, but now I can do it with my eyes closed. The key is to control the force: a light pull for half a second releases water, while a hard pull can easily damage the switch. If you notice weak spray, stop immediately to check—it’s usually due to empty washer fluid or a clogged filter. A reminder: never use tap water instead of dedicated washer fluid, as mineral deposits can clog the pipes. In summer, if the rear windshield gets hot after parking in the sun, it’s best to wait until the car is moving before spraying to avoid thermal stress cracks.

The spray for the Boyue's windshield washer is controlled by the lever on the right side of the steering wheel. Just push it inward to spray water. I found that the nozzle angle can be adjusted by yourself—just insert a needle into the spray hole and gently tilt it to avoid water spraying too high and splashing onto the roof. Remember to clean the spray nozzles every quarter by using a toothpick to remove dirt and debris. Pay special attention in winter; you must switch to antifreeze windshield washer fluid when temperatures drop below zero. If the wipers don’t move when spraying, it might be due to poor contact in the linkage motor. When operating while driving, be quick and decisive—don’t hold the lever continuously, as it wastes water and damages the motor.
